Judge Marilyn Hall Patel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California has named National Elevator Fund as lead plaintiff and Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins LLP as lead counsel in the VeriFone Holdings Inc. securities class action. According to a report on Stanford SCAC (citing Securities Law 360), six sets of plaintiffs sought lead status. NEF purchased approximately 243,000 shares of VeriFone between Aug. 30, 2006, and Dec. 3, 2007, at a cost of nearly $9 million, and lost approximately $2.8 million on the purchase.
