David Lynn Joins Morrison & Foerster

David M. Lynn, former Chief Counsel of the Division of Corporation Finance at the SEC, has joined Morrison & Foerster as a partner in its Washington, DC office.  Mr. Lynn will be the Co-Chair of Morrison Foerster’s Global Public Companies Group, the firm announced.

As the Chief Counsel of the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance from 2003-2007, Lynn was deeeply involved in implementing and interpreting the SEC’s rulemaking following Sarbanes Oxley.  Since 2007, Lynn has also been the co-editor of TheCorporateCounsel.net, where he co-authors one of the most widely-read blogs on securities, governance and corporate law matters.

Morrison & Foerster stated that Lynn will contribute to its corporate securities transactional, compliance and litigation practices.
