William P. Barr, former Attorney General of the United States, has joined Kirkland & Ellis as an Of Counsel in its Washington, D.C. office. Barr was most recently General Counsel at Verizon, a position from which he retired in late 2008.
Barr was attorney general of the United States under President George H.W. Bush, served on the White House Domestic Policy Staff under President Reagan and served in the Central Intelligence Agency.
