Skadden Arps announced this week that Gary DiBianco (pictured) has moved from its Washington, DC office to London to lead a European corporate investigations practice. The Am Law Daily reports that according to DiBianco, the growing amount of cooperation between countries’ regulatory bodies has contributed to many investigations he is working on taking on international aspects.
DiBianco says that Skadden has “a growing number of attorneys working on European investigations and now we’re launching a focused practice group to coordinate what we already have and to leverage off our U.S. practice,” the Am Law Daily reports.
This growing international cooperation is among the key trends affecting FCPA enforcement, and will be among the subjects addressed in the upcoming Securities Docket webcast, “FCPA Enforcement — The Paradigm Shift of 2008” that is scheduled for January 28.
