James Wooley Joins Jones Day in Cleveland

By Securities Docket on March 3, 2009, 6:29 am

James Wooley has joined law firm Jones Day as a partner in its Cleveland office.  A former federal prosecutor, Wooley’s practice focuses on cases involving fraud, securities violations and other white-collar crimes.  The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Wooley has joined the firm’s corporate criminal investigations unit.  Wooley was previously with law firm Baker Hostetler since 2000.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that “Jones Day foresees a surge of criminal claims against government contractors in health care, financial institutions and defense sectors. Intensified oversight is expected from agencies as far ranging as the Food and Drug Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.”
