Former SEC Enforcement Director Linda Thomsen Rejoins Davis Polk & Wardwell

By Securities Docket on April 13, 2009, 6:47 am

Linda Chatman Thomsen, former Director of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement, has rejoined law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell as a partner in its D.C. office.   The WSJ reports that Thomsen, who worked at Davis Polk in New York before joining the government, has joined the firm’s white-collar defense group.

Thomsen left the SEC on February 27, 2009.   She joined the SEC staff as an Assistant Chief Litigation Counsel in 1995, and later served as an Assistant Director, an Associate Director, and Deputy Director of the Division of Enforcement before former Chairman William H. Donaldson appointed her Director in 2005.
