Ruth Madoff Booted Out of Manhattan Apartment, Destination Unknown

By Securities Docket on July 2, 2009, 3:45 pm

Ruth Madoff was evicted from her multimillion dollar East Side penthouse today, as five federal marshals seized the property this afternoon. The NY Daily News reports that it is unknown where Madoff went or where she will live now.  As discussed here, Ruth Madoff has been unable to get any landlord to rent to her.

Ms. Madoff was reportedly at the apartment when the marshals arrived and left quietly, surrendering all her property inside. The marshals changed the locks and began inventorying the contents of the apartment.
