Bernie Madoff will serve his 150-year sentence at the Butner Federal Correctional Complex, about 45 minutes northeast of Durham, NC. Clusterstock reports that the North Carolina prison is considered “the crown jewel” of the federal prison system, “a place where many convicts hope to be sent. Fellow inmates will reportedly include former U.S. Rep. Randy “Duke” Cunningham, former Adelphi CEO John Rigas, and former Navy intelligence analyst Jonathan Pollard.
