SEC’s Michael Scott Joins Miller Buckfire

Michael Scott, an adviser to former SEC chairman Christopher Cox and then Mary Schapiro, has joined boutique investment bank Miller Buckfire. DealBook reports that Scott will start up a new practice for the bank to advise companies on government relations.

While at the SEC, Scott worked on the Troubled Asset Relief Program and the conservatorships of Fannie and Freddie. Prior to joining the SEC, Scott worked at Bank of America, where he headed the firm’s government entities investment banking team.
