James L. Sanders has joined law firm Reed Smith LLP as a partner in its Century City office. The firm announced yesterday that Sanders has joined its Global Regulatory and Enforcement Group of its Litigation Department. His practice focuses on securities litigation, white-collar criminal defense, and the representation of corporations and individuals in investigations by the SEC.
Prior to joining Reed Smith, Sanders was a partner and head of the Los Angeles Trial Department at McDermott Will & Emery. Sanders also previously served as an attorney and branch chief with the SEC from 1974 to1980, and as an Assistant United States Attorney from 1980 to 1989, first in the Northern District of Illinois, then in the Central District of California.
