J. Travis Laster, a partner with Abrams & Laster in Wilmington, Delaware, has been nominated by Gov. Jack Markell for the vacant seat on Delaware’s prestigious Court of Chancery. The News Journal reports that Laster was selected from a field of about seven candidates who applied for the seat left vacant when Stephen P. Lamb retired in July after his 12-year term expired.
As previously discussed here, Judge Lamb, who served as a Vice Chancellor of the court since 1997, joined law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP on July 29.
