SEC to Work More Closely With States on Tips, Active Probes

SEC230SEC Enforcement Director Robert Khuzami said today that the SEC will seek help from state regulators as it builds a central system for screening tips about financial crimes.

Bloomberg reports that at the North American Securities Administrators Association conference in Denver today, Khuzami stated that the SEC will “take all the help we can in terms of developing expertise.”  He also stated that the SEC will give state authorities more information on active probes and may join the states to train investigators.
