Two months after he unsuccessfully asked the judge overseeing his case to allow him to transfer out of the “oppressive” and “intolerable” detention facility where he is being held, Allen Stanford was hospitalized for treatment of a concussion following a jail fight.
The AP reports that one of Stanford’s new court-appointed attorneys stated today that his client was injured in a fight on Thursday with another inmate at the Joe Corley Detention Facility in Conroe near Houston. Stanford reportedly suffered a concussion, two black eyes, and a broken nose, and was returned to the lockup Sunday afternoon.
