UK: SFO Says Criminal Charges Against Some Madoff London Employees May Come in 2009

sfo230The UK’s Serious Fraud Office announced today that criminal charges may be brought against some London employees of  Bernard Madoff by the end of the year.

The Telegraph reports that according to Richard Alderman, director of the SFO, a final decision on whether to bring such charges will be made over the next three months.  Alderman also stated that a team was working on trying to recover money for victims of the fraud.
