Galleon Group has hired Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Barry Goldsmith to advise it on the wind down of its hedge fund. Goldsmith is the co-chair of GD&C’s securities enforcement practice. In addition, the American Lawyer reports, Gibson Dunn’s white-collar defense co-chair Jim Walden is representing general partner Raj Rajaratnam.
A Gibson Dunn spokeswoman told AmLaw that the firm was not advising Galleon Management itself.
