Madoff Trustee Identifies Assets in Canada

Assets of Bernard Madoff’s defunct firm have been located in Canada. Bloomberg reports that the trustee liquidating Madoff’s assets is seeking to hire a Montreal law firm, Kugler Kandestin LLP, to recover the Canadian assets.

The trustee didn’t specify what the assets were. If necessary, the Canadian law firm will file lawsuits seeking recovery of assets from third parties.
