Nacchio’s Bid for New Trial Denied

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Marcia Krieger denied Joe Nacchio’s motion for a new trial. According to the Denver Post, Nacchio claimed that new evidence had been discovered since his 2007 conviction for insider trading.

The Denver Post reports that the judge ruled that there was not a reasonable probability that Nacchio’s new evidence would support an acquittal.  Nacchio is currently serving a six-year prison sentence.
