SDNY’s Klein Resigning to Start Own Law Firm

Joshua I. Klein, a lead prosecutor in the SDNY’s insider trading case against Galleon Group and its founder, Raj Rajaratnam, plans to resign from the office to to set up his own criminal defense firm. The New York Times reports that Klein is expected to leave the office this week.

Klein has been an AUSA in the SDNY for 10 years.  The NYT reports that he is setting up a new firm with Guy Petrillo, a former head of the SDNY’s criminal division.
