Alfred R. Kahn, toy magnate and marketing genius responsible for the Pokemon and Cabbage Patch brands, has bought imprisoned fraudster Bernard Madoff’s Manhattan penthouse apartment.
WSJ reports that Mr. Kahn, the chairman and chief executive of 4Kids Entertainment, is awaiting board approval, before finalizing his bargain purchase of the 4,000-square-foot Upper East Side penthouse.
The duplex apartment was originally listed for $9.9 million but the price had dropped by $1 million prior to Kahn’s purchase.
