Sen. Charles Schumer announced this week that he is recommending Assistant U.S. Attorney Raymond Lohier for the judgeship on the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. If chosen, Lohier will fill the vacancy left by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
Main Justice reports that Lohier is currently the chief of the securities and commodities fraud task force in the criminal division for the Southern District of New York. He has worked with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for over ten years.
