Defendants in DOJ’s FCPA Sweep Lawyer Up

By Securities Docket on February 16, 2010, 2:41 pm

Defendants in what figures to be the largest Foreign Corrupt Practices Act case in the 33-year history of the legislation have begun to lawyer up, reports Main Justice. As previously discussed here, last month the DOJ brought an unprecedented FCPA sting against 22 executives and employees of companies in the military and law enforcement products industry. Following an undercover DOJ operation, these individuals were all arrested and indicted for engaging in schemes to bribe foreign government officials to obtain and retain business.

Main Justice has assembled a list of the defense attorneys currently retained for each of the 22 defendants. Pictured above are some of the well known FCPA attorneys on the list: from left to right, clockwise: Lisa Prager, Michael Volkov, Lawrence Jacobs, Steven McCool, David Schertler, Connie Mederos-Jacobs, David Krakoff, Allen Dale, Michael Madigan, and Peter Zeidenberg. The full list is available on Main Justice.
