On Wednesday, Finra’s head of enforcement, Susan Merrill, announced that she will be stepping down. The Washington Post reports that Merrill did not give an exact date of her resignation. No successor has been named.
Reuters reports that Merrill has served as the head of enforcement for less than three years. Merrill was appointed as Enforcement Chief by SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro when Schapiro served as the head of Finra.
