Italy: Four Banks, 13 Individuals Face Trial in Milan Derivatives Case

On Wednesday, JP Morgan, UBS, Deutsche Bank, and Depfa, along with 13 individuals, were ordered to face a criminal trial in Milan. The defendants face “aggravated fraud” charges in connection with a derivatives swap on a 1.68 billion euro bond issued by Milan, according to Reuters.

The thirteen individuals include 11 bank officials and two former Milan city employees. The trial is scheduled to begin on May 6.
