On Wednesday, the UK’s SFO arrested three directors of Alstom on bribery and corruption charges. According to the Guardian, Alstom’s engineering group in the UK allegedly paid bribes in order to win contracts overseas.

The SFO said that search warrants were executed this morning at five Alstom locations and four homes.

The Guardian reports that the three men have been charged with bribery and corruption, conspiracy to pay bribes, money laundering and false accounting.
