UK Extradites Singapore National on Insider Trading Charges

On Tuesday, Singapore national, Helmy Omar Sa’aid, was extradited to face insider trading charges in the UK. The Telegraph reports that Sa’aid appeared before the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court and was charged with 14 counts of insider trading. The charges against Sa’aid are reportedly related to the investigation of illegal trading by Christian and Angie Littlewood.

This case marks the first time UK authorities have successfully extradited a foreign national on insider trading charges, according to the Telegraph.
