On Tuesday, John Hartman pleaded guilty to 25 counts of insider trading charges in Australia. ASIC charged Hartman with 19 counts of insider trading and 6 counts of communicating inside information.
Investor Daily reports that Hartman allegedly traded on inside information that he obtained while working as an equities dealer at Orion Asset Management. ASIC alleged that Hartman learned about an intended trade that Orion was about to make, and then established market positions to take advantage of Orion’s trade.
