Richard A. Levine has been named an Associate General Counsel for Legal Policy in the SEC’s’s Office of the General Counsel, effective immediately. The SEC announced today that Levine’s role will have a particular emphasis on enforcement, corporate disclosure, and accounting.
Since 1997, Levine has served as the SEC’s Assistant General Counsel for Enforcement. Before becoming Assistant General Counsel, he held several positions of increasing responsibility in the SEC’s Office of General Counsel, beginning in 1984 as a staff attorney.
