DOJ Deploying Aggressive Response to Wall Street Frad

By Amanda Harding on May 6, 2010, 6:36 am

On Tuesday, Assistant Attorney General Larry Breuer announced that the DOJ has instituted an “aggressive, comprehensive and well-coordinated law enforcement response” to Wall Street fraud. Breuer also stated that there are currently more than 2,200 ongoing corporate and securities fraud investigations, several with losses in excess of $100 million. According to Main Justice, the DOJ will also continue working closely with the SEC and other agencies on these cases.
