John S. “Jay” Darden has joined law firm Patton Boggs as a partner in its Washington, D.C. office. The firm announced yesterday that Darden has joined its Litigation Department, where he will focus on healthcare fraud and abuse and white-collar crime practices, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigations.
Before joining Patton Boggs, Darden was the Assistant Chief of the Fraud Section of the Criminal Division at the Justice Department. In that role, he investigated and prosecuted violations of the FCPA and was the lead prosecutor in one of the largest FCPA dispositions in the history of the statute.
