As previously discussed here, Morgan Stanley’s Gary Lynch, a former director of enforcement at the SEC, announced in February that he was stepping down as chief legal officer of the bank.
The firm announced today that Lynch’s successor has now been hired: Frank Barron (pictured), a litigation partner at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, will join the firm in New York. Bloomberg reports that Barron has been with Cravath for more than 30 years.
Lynch will remain with the firm as vice chairman and a member of the firm’s operating and management committees.
