Shira Pavis Minton Joins SEC as Ethics Counsel

Shira Pavis Minton has joined the SEC as Ethics Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel. In that role, Minton will provide advice and counsel to Commission employees on all ethical issues, and coordinate and manage the agency’s ethics and compliance program.

Minton joins the SEC from the Treasury Department, where she was the Deputy Assistant General Counsel for Ethics. She previously spent nine years at the FTC an Associate General Counsel and Alternate Designated Agency Ethics Official.
