Michele A. Roberts will join law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP as a partner in its Washington, D.C. office. The firm announced yesterday that Roberts will join its Litigation practice. Roberts’ practice focuses on complex civil and white collar criminal litigation before state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings. She has tried over 100 civil and criminal cases to jury verdicts in federal and state court.
Roberts joins Skadden from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in D.C.. Previously, Roberts served in the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and became chief of the Trial Division.
