SEC’s David Becker Rejoins Cleary Gottlieb in Washington, D.C.

David Becker has rejoined law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP as a partner in its Washington, D.C. office. The firm announced today that Becker will focus on securities enforcement and regulation, corporate governance and internal investigations, and financial services reform.

Becker joins Cleary Gottlieb from the the SEC, where he served as General Counsel and Senior Policy Director from February 2009 to February 2011. Previously, Becker was a partner at Cleary Gottlieb from 2002 until rejoining the SEC in 2009. He also served as General Counsel of the SEC from 2000 to 2002.
