Italy police raid offices in Parmalat probe-sources

Italian authorities raided banks and public relations offices in Milan on Wednesday looking for evidence as part of a probe into French dairy group Lactalis’ takeover of Parmalat SpA, tax police sources said….

Those searched included French banks Credit Agricole and Societe Generale, U.S. investment bank Lazard, Italian bank Intesa Sanpaolo and public relations companies Brunswick and Image Building, the sources said. The probe involves potential market-rigging and insider trading in Lactalis’ inroads into Parmalat, the sources said.
