Securities regulators have denied a congressional request to disclose how they have handled referrals they received of suspicious trading at hedge fund SAC Capital Advisors LP, according to an agency letter released Friday.
The Securities and Exchange Commission cited confidentiality in rejecting the request from Sen. Charles Grassley…. Sen. Grassley said the SEC’s letter, which his office released, was “not an acceptable response.”
