SEC Directs SIPC to Liquidate Stanford Group Co., Review Customer Claims

Following a threat from one Senator to block the nominations of two SEC commissioners until the SEC provided an answer, SEC released its findings today that certain individuals who invested money through the Stanford Group Company are, in fact, entitled to the protections of SIPC.
