Businessmen John Kizon and Nigel Mansfield are facing a District Court retrial on conspiracy and insider trading charges after Commonwealth prosecutors won an appeal this morning. But outside the Supreme Court this morning, Mr Kizon immediately vowed to take the case to the High Court and said he was confident the pair would win in the long-running battle.
In a majority Court of Appeal decision, Justices Michael Buss and Michael Murray upheld the Commonwealth appeal, setting aside acquittals handed down in March last year and ordering Mr Kizon and Mr Mansfield face a retrial on a total of 34 charges.
