Australia: Kizon, Mansfield face insider trading retrial

By Securities Docket on June 16, 2011, 10:06 am

Businessmen John Kizon and Nigel Mansfield are facing a District Court retrial on conspiracy and insider trading charges after Commonwealth prosecutors won an appeal this morning. In a majority Court of Appeal decision, Justices Michael Buss and Michael Murray upheld the Commonwealth appeal, setting aside acquittals handed down in March last year and ordering Mr Kizon and Mr Mansfield face a retrial on a total of 34 charges.
