Abbe R. Tiger, a former securities regulator and a counsel for a global financial services company, is the new chief of the Newark-based New Jersey state Bureau of Securities, it was announced Tuesday. Tiger began her career as a prosecutor in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn. She left that position in 1987 to join the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C.
