Judge’s Ruling in Madoff Case Could Reduce Money for Victims

A federal judge ruled on Thursday that the bankruptcy trustee trying to recover billions for those who lost money in Bernard L. Madoff’s enormous Ponzi scheme did not have the right to sue banks and other third parties on behalf of the victims.
