The head of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s newly minted whistleblower office on Thursday pushed back at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other corporate critics who complain that the new office’s structure will hurt company internal compliance programs…. Sean McKessy, chief of the new office, which formally launches Friday, said in some circumstances it is impossible for the fraud to be uncovered if the whistleblower must go to the company first.
