KPMG picked to lead UBS probe

The UK financial regulator has recruited KPMG, the auditing and consulting firm, to head an independent investigation into the $2.3bn trading scandal at Swiss banking group UBS, people familiar with the matter said. The UK’s Financial Services Authority and the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma) have asked the auditor to investigate details of alleged unauthorised trading activity by Kweku Adoboli, a trader at UBS.
