Federal prosecutors had alleged that Arthur Cutillo, a former Ropes & Gray LLP lawyer, and another lawyer at the firm shared confidential information about deals involving the law firm’s clients with Jason Goldfarb, a private-practice lawyer. Mr. Goldfarb then passed the information to Zvi Goffer, a hedge-fund trader and childhood friend of Mr. Goldfarb, prosecutors said.
