BP shareholders throw Hail Mary to keep securities case alive

Last Friday lawyers from Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll argued at a hearing before U.S. District Judge Keith Ellison of Houston federal court that investors who purchased BP common shares on the London and Frankfurt stock exchanges should be permitted to proceed with claims related to the Deepwater Horizon spill under New York state common law and the English Financial Services and Markets Act.
