2011 Was a Banner Year for FCPA Enforcements and Trials

It was another banner year for the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Justice Department trying more cases in 2011 than in any other year. According to a year-end review released this week by Gibson, DunnĀ & Crutcher, enforcement actions also reached their second-highest level in the 34-year history of the act, with a total of 48.
