Michael Volkov has joined law firm LeClairRyan as a shareholder in the firm’s Litigation Department. Volkov will be in the firm’s Alexandria, Va. and Washington, D.C. offices.
Volkov joins LeClairRyan from Mayer Brown LLP. Previously, Volkov served for 17 years as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, where he conducted over 75 jury trials. Volkov also served on the Senate and House Judiciary Committees as the chief crime and terrorism counsel for the respective committee, as a deputy assistant attorney general in the Office of Legislative Affairs of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), and as a trial attorney in the DOJ’s Antitrust Division.
