Government Scraps Lindsey FCPA Appeal, Preserving Stunning Defense Win for Venable and Crowell & Moring

Nearly four years after federal agents raided the offices of Lindsey Manufacturing Co. looking for evidence of foreign bribery, the government has finally called an end to its tumultuous–and ultimately embarrassing–criminal prosecution. Late Friday prosecutors in Los Angeles filed a motion for voluntary dismissal in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, admitting defeat in one of the most closely-watched Foreign Corrupt Practices Act cases in recent years.
