SEC’s Marc Fagel Joining Gibson Dunn in San Francisco

Marc Fagel, Director of the San Francisco Regional Office of the SEC, will join the San Francisco office of law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP as a partner. The firm announced last week that Fagel will join its Securities Enforcement practice.

Fagel has served at the SEC for more than 15 years. He has been the San Francisco Regional Director since 2008, overseeing more than 100 attorneys, accountants, and other professionals handling enforcement activity in the Northern California, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska region. Fagel was Associate Regional Director from 2005 to 2008. His office’s notable cases included the SEC’s high-profile initiative on stock option backdating.
