Wal-Mart to Spend at Least $150M More on 2013 FCPA – WSJ Risk & Compliance

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. says it will spend between $75 million and $80 million in each of the next two fiscal quarters on expenses related to ongoing Foreign Corruption Practices Act issues and on its compliance programs.

The retail behemoth said Thursday it spent $82 million on FCPA and compliance issues during its fiscal second quarter that ended July 31, $12 million to $17 million more than it had estimated.
