Howard A. Scheck has joined KPMG LLP as a partner in the firm’s Washington, DC office. The firm announced this week that Scheck has joined its Forensic Advisory Practice and will lead its SEC regulatory enforcement and compliance efforts.
Scheck joins KPMG from the SEC, where he was the Division of Enforcement’s Chief Accountant. In that role, Scheck was responsible for the Enforcement Division’s accounting and auditing-related investigations, and served as the division’s liaison to the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. Earlier in his career, Scheck also served as an attorney in the Enforcement Division.
