Enforcement Hall of Fame: Ralph Ferrara

By Securities Docket on October 22, 2014, 10:14 am

“Ralph Ferrara served as SEC General Counsel from 1978 to 1981, and prior to that served as Chief of Staff and Special Counsel to three Chairmen.  As General Counsel, he argued four cases before the United States Supreme Court, more than any other agency GC before or since.  Since leaving the agency, there are few if any practitioners that come close to his achievements in terms of publications.  He has authored books, treatises and dozens of articles that span just about every program area of the Commission.  He also has an unmistakable flair for the way he represents his clients–a list that reads like a “Who’s Who” of the Fortune 500.   Today, Ralph Ferrara is still the go-to lawyer for Audit Committees who need a knowledgeable and confident attorney to lead their internal investigation.”
